Misted or foggy double glazing, replaced without new frames
If you see condensation, fog or water marks between the panes, the seal around the glass unit has failed. It can't be cleaned away, but the glass unit can usually be replaced on its own.
Signs you need this
Does this sound familiar?
- Fog or droplets you can't wipe off from either side
- White or grey marks or streaks inside the glass
- A window that looks permanently dirty even after cleaning
- Cracked or broken glass in uPVC, aluminium or composite frames
What we do
How we fix it
- 1
We check the photo you send and confirm the size and type of glass needed.
- 2
A new sealed unit is made to measure for your window or door.
- 3
We remove the old unit, fit the new one, and reseal the beads so it sits tight.
Questions
Common questions
Do I need a new window if the glass is misted?
Usually not. If the frame is in good condition, only the glass unit needs replacing.
Can you replace glass in doors as well?
Yes, including glass panels in front doors, French doors and sliding patio doors.
How do I get a price?
Send a photo of the window on WhatsApp to 087 381 2360. If you can, add a rough width and height of the glass.
